STEP 1
LIGHTEN DARK LOCKS
While already-blonde hair will go icy with just the Koleston kit, dark blonde to brunette locks will need pre-lightening with a hair bleach. Try Color By You Bleach Primer, smoothing it from root to tip then rinsing out for a blonde base.
STEP 2
SECTION YOUR HAIR
Divide clean, dry hair into eight sections. This will ensure you don’t miss a spot, allowing you to work through the hair section by section, including harder-to-reach lower layers.
STEP 3
ZIG-ZAG THE COLOR
Put on the gloves that come with your color kit, then squeeze the intense color cream into the bottle of the developer. Mix to shake, before pulling a section of hair taut and using the nozzle on the bottle to apply the dye in a zig-zag motion from root to tip.
STEP 4
BLEND TO THE ROOTS
With the gloves still on, use fingertips to blend the color through each section, ensuring you smooth it up to the roots. Next, twist the hair, continuing to massage color in for full coverage.
STEP 5
RINSE AND GLOW
Let your icy blonde hair color develop for 40 minutes, before rinsing and treating locks to the Advanced Intense Gloss Treatment in your Koleston kit. Finally, dry and style as desired. Personally, we love mermaid waves with this shade.
